What is there to write about in terms of all the disasters we are having in the world due to wild weather or other factors? It's hard to synthesize what it all means. Is it caused by factors beyond our control or are we somehow to blame as humans? Everyone seems to have their own take on what is causing ever more intense hurricanes, and extremely devastating wildfires, such as Lahaina just experienced. I feel like every theory is pretty much on the table. You can't rule anything out. We all want "truth in media," without the endless spin, just like some hurricane trying to churn our minds, confusing us to the point of near insanity. People get numb, and just want to turn it off. That's because it is possible to be completely overwhelmed, and experience information overload. There is only so much information we can process and handle on a daily basis while still attending to our daily duties in life. We are not computerized AI robots like Siri, or Alexa, who can file away an endless train of questions, information, and commands. My takeaway from all the recent events and those unfolding is that Americans mostly seem to come together in search of answers, and to help each other, despite the actions of governments. Some may loot and pillage, but most come together in love. When I compare the state of Florida's response to disasters of the past to that of Hawaii, there is no comparison. The words of those affected by recent disasters, are the words the hold the most weight. First hand account tell far more than any expert or official answer ever will. That's one reason social media is great, because the voice of the people can actually be heard loud and clear. Prayers for all Floridians facing this hurricane 🙏 #hurricaneidalia #disaster #hurricane #pray #thepeoplehavespoken #socialmedia #lahaina #ai #climate #wildfires https://lnkd.in/gaces2ix
