We've always worked hard to give our customers the chance to try a Sonder bike, whether that is Try Before You Buy or hiring a bike for a week of holiday riding. As we've grown, we wanted to streamline the experience of bike hire for our customers - offering the ability to hire our bikes from us through our website - and give our store team the tools needed to manage those hires through the entire journey. What was your experience onboarding BRM? From the initial call through all our questions and help with setting everything up, everyone at BRM was helpful and easy to reach. Coupled with the detailed support articles on all topics, learning the system & onboarding was very smooth. Did you know there’s a way to save a life when you get out of the car? All you have to do to make sure you don’t hit a cyclist is get into a different habit when you open the door. Ten facts about the Dutch reach 1. Using the hand that’s further away from the door makes you twist your body and turn your head towards the side mirror. 2. It makes it easy to look out and back over your shoulder through the side window. (Conversely, using the closer hand keeps your shoulder beside the window and impairs the twisting movement you need to see behind you.) 3. If you open the door a slight way at first, you get a good view of what’s behind you. 4. Stretching your opposite arm to grab the door release mechanism makes it easier to push the door only a slight way open at first and makes it less likely you’ll suddenly swing the door open. 5. This slight door movement can warn cyclists, giving them time and space to react. 6. If you keep your closer hand gripping the door handle, you can pull the door closed faster at any point. 7. The Dutch reach works in the front and back of the car and compensates for the rear seat passengers’ lack of a side mirror. 8. Using the opposite hand means you will get out of the car facing backwards, so you’ll have a better view of the approaching traffic than if you’re facing forwards or side on. 9. Allure Bikes sells 75% of its bike rental fleet to its customers They started their business in January 2019 with only 15 bikes and ordered 8 more in 2020. In January 2020, we noticed in bike.rent Manager that we had rented out all of our bikes for weeks in March and April 2020. Unfortunately, COVID-19 came in March 2020, and we had to withdraw everything for a long time (like many other businesses). Our main clients come from Belgium, Scandinavia and Holland. As Scandinavia didn´t get permission to travel to Spain, it was tough, and it almost took until September 2021 before we got some clients. Luckily, we survived, and our business has grown steadily since mid-2022. So really, at BRM, we do like to say we're one place for you to manage your entire rental approach. So what that really means is working your way around ✅ Scheduling and tracking ✅ Point of sale ✅ Maintenance That's what we call our core system, and it's really the main thing that BRM manages for you. On top of that, we do have some add on layers some of our shops use, and it really just depends on whether you think you might need them or not. The tours module, which allows you to have sort of independent pages for your customers to come and book tours and events. We have our multilocation function. So if you share inventory between locations or you own more than one store, that'll allow you to use that.
