I wrote an Upselling for Hospitality course and this was the feedback: "I can confirm that we had an increase in revenue, now it’s on us (management team), to maintain and continue to refresh what they have learned so they can continue to improve their upselling skills. I have to say that I’m impressed on how they have changed their behaviour towards the customers, they are way more confident now and they’re understanding properly when upselling is required." "To be clear, is that increase in spend per head spend?" "Yes, that is correct, we have seen an in improvement on the spend per head." The third and final module will be delivered on Monday. I am really looking forward to the final chapter and to see how everyone is doing with their new skills.

I'm continuing my weekly review of the key takeaways by chapter of Embark #bookclub book "Unreasonable Hospitality" by Will Guidara. Chapter 5: Restaurant Smart v. Corporate Smart ⭐ Trust the process - there is no replacement for learning a system from the ground up ⭐ "If you take care of your managers and give them what they need to be successful, you put them in a better position to take care of their teams." ⭐ "Manage 95% of your business down to the penny, spend the last 5% 'foolishly'" - the last 5% has an outsized impact on the client experience What do you spend 5% "foolishly" on? What has been the impact on the client/customer experience? Next week, I'll share the takeaways from Chapter 6: Pursuing a True Partnership.
