I love team-building days. Some people find these sessions a waste of time because they take the team away from the ‘real work’. For me, when run well they provide alignment and clarity a team needs to get the best ‘real work’ done. Team-building days are a great opportunity: -to reassess and confirm the goals of your team -to align your activities with your values -to understand your teammates’ motivations more clearly, so we can all move forward to achieve our goals Creating a great working culture and aligning values only comes when you take the time to discuss these things as a team. Our culture is so important to the team at Certa Therapeutics, and as we grow we want to implement actions to maintain it. It is a key part of our success in designing new medicines for patients with fibrotic disease. I’m so grateful to be part of a team that loves open discussion and to be led by people like Ann Hamer and Darren Kelly who understand the value of investing in people and culture. Getting us out of the office, and choosing to host the discussions in a venue named after The Espy's ghostly entrepreneur resident was an inspired choice! According to Sidoti & Company, LLC Analyst Jim Sidoti: ‘Think Recent Pullback Is Overdone; Expect Improved Results By 4Q:24 With Improved Enrollment Systems; Maintain $18 Price Target GoHealth shares have been down 35% compared to a 6% increase in the Russell 2000 index since reporting lower-than-expected 2Q:24 results. We expect revenue to rebound 12% year over year in 4Q:24, with increased consumer switching due to rate increases and plan changes and as several midsized brokers exit the market. The company continues to develop technology to establish long-term customer relationships, improve customer service and cash flow, and reduce seasonality and maintained 2024 guidance for revenue to remain about flat and for operating margins to improve.’

It is a reminder that scientific advances alone are not enough to make a real difference in the world. We need to contribute to make that society is equipped with the knowledge and understanding necessary to harness these advances responsibly and for the common good. Disease awareness is part of this mission, but our Young Generations Survey is too. Or our #EmbracingCarers program! Or our DE&I commitments (including Closingap). Or our projects and commitments linked to #Sustainability. 🗯 At Merck Group, and especially those of us in Communication, we are passionate about building bridges between scientific knowledge/community and society. We want to be a beacon of responsible innovation. This is what Asimov's words made me think of. 🛰 Then, by pure chance, I found in the exhibition of one of my favourite living artists, Luis Gordillo, the image with which I wanted to illustrate this thought... And it turned out to be very close to our colourful and vibrant company branding, don't you think? Call it serendipity... call it a connection with other realities. Those of us who do communication spend our lives relating concepts, threading words, connecting them with images. And without forgetting that "out there" are people, society, patients, decision-makers, customers, employees... present and future. And that without knowing them, listening to them, it is impossible to orchestrate a valid and forceful strategy. How can I put it?
