India continues to shine as a leader in the Asia-Pacific #office space market. In just the first quarter of 2024, over 15 million square feet were absorbed, showcasing a YoY growth of 44%+. What's even more impressive is that Indian offices offer the highest cap rates in the entire APAC region. This high growth is particularly driven by Global Capability Centers (#GCCs) and is supported by significant investments from MNCs. American Express (Amex) is a prime example of this trend, with the opening of its largest office globally in Gurugram. This move reflects the broader strategy among global firms to tap into India's skilled workforce, technological prowess, and cost efficiencies, enhancing their operational capabilities and fostering innovation within their global networks. Despite massive valuation markdowns in the global office market, India continues to thrive, attracting significant investments and offering high cap rates. It’s Sunday today, meant as a day of rest. With rest, often comes reflection. Having just finished doing New Delhi Slush’D, last evening, the local spinoff of Slush, held in Helsinki every year, I have one important thought I wanted to share with all you lovely people. When you work with different people, organisations, vendors with varying temperaments to make an event happen, there is only thing that keeps harmony and that is ownership. Most clashes happen at the workplace when people either dump their share of it on to their unsuspecting colleagues or when they only do work that they are told to do. Both these lead to resentment and a unhealthy work environment. Taking ownership for any task assigned to you is the fastest way to grow your career. Not enough professionals comprehend this and which is how the vicious cycle of blame game, office politics and eventually a negative attitude to work develops. Even as an employee you can be the master of your own destiny and career growth if you take ownership. I wish I had understood this much earlier in my career as I do now. During the course of getting New Delhi Slush’D off the ground, I met some wonderful people who took ownership of their work and therefore there was no friction with them at any point. #newdelhislushd #takingownership #beingthebest #successmindset

In 1950, all of the top 10 largest cities were in North America or Europe. But by 2023, 7/10 are in Asia, with Tokyo, Delhi, Shanghai, and Mumbai leading the pack. The shift in the global urban landscape has a number of implications. It's creating new economic hubs, shifting geopolitical power balances, and putting a strain on urban infrastructure and resources.
