Reflecting on the robust M&A activities within the Baltics in 2023, it's inspiring to see how the region has navigated economic challenges with resilience. Estonia once again stands out in impact. For instance, the country contributed four to the top ten deals, highlighting its position as a hub for innovation and investment. Among these, Skeleton Technologies captured headlines with a €108m financing round alongside another €50m.💰 What's fascinating is Estonia's M&A scene reflects its status as a global player, directly engaging with world-renowned investors like Hyundai, Panasonic, and Siemens.🚀 This global outlook, combined with Estonia's leadership in the number of startups per capita globally, paints a picture of a country punching well above its weight in the global business arena. The #Baltic region itself is doing great. With 134 deals totaling €1.1 billion in 2023, the region demonstrates a dynamic investment landscape ripe with opportunities. This resilience is particularly noteworthy given the global high inflation and interest rates. As we look ahead, the future shines bright for Baltic M&A. Upbeat regional economic forecasts, coupled with Estonia's proven track record of innovation and global partnerships, set the stage for a promising 2024 deal outlook. Inspired by the prospect of joining President Gitanas Nausėda at the Los Angeles - Lithuanian Business Forum, prominent IT software development companies united to create something meaningful, and thus the AmberTech Cluster was born. This cluster aims to support entrepreneurs in developing, launching, and growing cutting-edge digital products that positively impact the global ecosystem. Following a successful business mission to the USA, members of the AmberTech Cluster returned to Lithuania and once again met with Esteemed President Gitanas Nausėda. This meeting at the Presidential Palace is a pivotal step in the fruitful and close collaboration between Lithuanian government officials and dynamic leaders of the technology industry. The discussions during the meeting focused on collaboration opportunities between the state and IT companies, aiming to identify common goals and harness the technological expertise of the industry to drive advancements on a national scale.
