Mastering Field Sales: Strategies for Success in the Field Field sales is when salespeople leave the office and go to different places to meet with customers. They do this to make personal connections and try to sell products or services. It’s used in many industries, especially when building strong relationships with customers is crucial. The Role of Field Reps: Field reps, known as field sales representatives, are the people who make field sales happen. They have specific jobs, like: Building Customer Relationships: Field reps work hard to create good customer relationships. Meeting in person helps them understand what the customer wants and needs. Following Up on Leads: They make sure that people who might want to buy something get all the information they need to make a decision. Selling More: Field reps try to find ways to sell more to customers. They’re always looking for opportunities to make more sales. Learning About the Market: Field reps also learn what other companies are doing and what customers are saying. This helps their own company do better.

DILIGENCE Constant and earnest efforts to accomplish what is undertaken. As a sales representative, if you are the type who always work diligently, you will have no issues having your superior(s) in your territory for field accompaniment (FA). As a sales representative, you should be happy to have your team lead/manager in your territory to do FA with you. The fact that they will see one or two areas to correct you, their visit will rather add to your experience and it will give you that opportunity to showcase your worth/capability on the job. As a sales representative, always love to have managers especially top managers to visit your territory, you will surely gain one or two things at the end of the visit. As a sales representative, always do your job DILIGENTLY. This will save you from window dressing whenever your top managers are visiting your territory.

Using a proprietary Battery Management System called NeverDie® Technology, it offers a broad range of standard and custom-designed battery configurations delivering “house power,” supporting internal electrical features and appliances for a variety of outdoor products for the marine and recreational vehicle markets. Lithionics makes the safest lithium-ion batteries on the market and are the only batteries which are UL 1973 approved for both stationary and motive applications. The Vice President of Sales will report to the President and be a member of the senior leadership team. This person will be an impactful and influential leader that inspires the Sales team, accelerates revenue, margin and market share through a thoughtfully planned strategy and flawless execution using both sales analytics and marketing tools.  The primary focus of this person will be to develop and deploy a robust sales process to accelerate profitable revenue growth. This position will develop and drive year over year organic sales growth, and the execution of commercial strategies in alignment with the company’s core business strategies. The role will be responsible for building sales capabilities, through team and process enhancements.     This job will REQUIRE a person to relocate to the greater Tampa, FL market…no hybrid or remote work options will be considered. This person will need to have sales leadership experience working for a company that designs and manufactures premium priced technical electrical or electronic products that are sold to OEMs (ideally RV or boat builders). The hire will be a dynamic sales leader with 15+ years of total experience who has ideally been trained in a world-class company that has very strong business operations management cadences allowing the sales leader to go and take share in their sector, versus respond to what the market gives them. Is Sales Manager the natural progression for Account Executives? Maybe so. Is it the only viable next step? I don't think so. Not all AEs are well-suited to being managers. Some are better off focusing on selling. Some don't have the leadership abilities required to manage. Others just don't want to be in management. Others are looking for a different and new challenge. A road less travelled is the Customer Success Manager. I think it makes a ton of sense for an AE to be drawn to this position. Sales professionals are incredible at: -Fighting for the customer's best interests -Being able to effectively communicate and present -Being responsible for carrying a monthly/quarterly quota -Working collaboratively with multiple internal departments -Knowing where things can go wrong after the sales process -Having the skills to up-sell them and manage renewals like a boss -Building relationships with the customer for long-term partnership opps For these reasons and more, I think the best CSMs have sales experience. I know of a couple of AE friends of mine who've made the jump and never looked back. I'm curious, as a sales professional, have you ever thought you might make an incredible customer success manager?
