More connecting, less competing. I believe in the Shine Theory, which is the idea that when you help another woman rise, we all shine. Whether we’re in the same industry or not, having strong, competent women to lean on and learn from is one of the most beautiful and powerful things about being a woman. Embrace that! It’s more fun over here. 😉

I believe there is a shift in women supporting other women, I wish I could see it more in the corporate world however this isn't always the case. I have many women clients complaining about the fierce competition between women. Let's all do our bit each day! so grateful for some of my amazing colleagues Charmian Grove and Nicky Vaux - The Boat Princess MONICA KADE Natalie Lee Tory Archbold Too many to name here! They are all brilliant women that lift and support each other!

I am currently writing a book on how women treat and relate to one another. What I find is that there is a great deal of toxicity in many of those bonds. Not all- but many. There are overt examples, as well as what I call subtle sabotage. I’m advocating for women to recognize and relinquish those relationships. I would love to know what you think about how the average woman in middle of America can find this type of supportive crew of woman.

I am SO competitive but rather than trying to push other women down, I try to push them to be better. It's like the best sports conferences - you become better when you're constantly challenged by greatness. The key is to lift other women up along the way.

DISAPPOINTED. These are some of my favorite actors. However, I’m disappointed that I don’t see any Black women at the table. Black women have fought the good fight for women rights which have significantly and primarily benefited white women. When will they include “strong, competent” Black women (who unapologetically embrace our culture and support our community) into their professional and business circles without us having to request an invitation? We believe in the Shine Theory too. Let’s embrace each other.♥️

This is a much needed conversation to have; however, where is the representation: Angela Bassett, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Loretta Devine, Alfre Woodard, Priyanaka Chopra? If we intend to share the table, let’s SHARE THE TABLE.

Love this, but truly unfortunate that we still need raising awareness on that topic. We’re not competitors, more connecting and more opportunities for all of us.
