In a sewer, 15m below ground we had the pleasure of installing the new IECEx LaserFlow for monitoring non-contact flow. We were compared with a meter installed in the flow which was de-ragged whilst we were there. I am told a broom, kick of the boot or using your hands is the best method of removing sewer fouling from the in-flow sensor. I hope I never have to find out! I’ll put the averaged data from both meters over a 2-week time period in the comments section. Green is the installed non-ISCO sensor. The Teledyne ISCO LaserFlow was installed and reading data within 3 hours… the de-ragging of the pre-existing sensor went for longer.
