With over half a million connected vehicles in Brazil, OnStar is now partnering with real-life heroes to save lives. Our General Motors South America team recently welcomed a group of firefighters to our Indaiatuba Proving Ground for a specialized training session focused on enhancing their techniques and leveraging OnStar for rescue operations. They were particularly impressed by how OnStar can quickly help locate a vehicle after an accident - even if the occupants are incapacitated - which allows first responders to reach the victims faster. This is a great example of how a higher purpose can help technology fulfill its ultimate potential. Congrats GM South America team on a great initiative! #IworkforGM
The team was really excited to have the first responders go through this training Shilpan Amin . Knowledge and tecnology can save lives.
Awesome initiative. OnStar was there when my daughter needed, so I appreciate its valuable support.
Glad to hear that! I remember during my time in Brazil our plan team was pushing to get OnStar for our millions of customers. Well done!
Inspiring! and great to see excellence is still a guiding principle as was the case during my 22+ engineering years with Electro-Motive Div. Oh the creative inspiring fun we had.
Safety First! Leveraging technology to enhance safety!
Impressive partnership!
Love this!
Shilpan, the specialized training exceeded expectations. By training rescuers in OnStar technologies to facilitate rescues, we demonstrated with practical examples how GM's advanced telematics system can save lives. At General Motors, we use technology to advance towards a more connected and secure future.
