I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully cleared the CFA Level 1 exam in Feb-24 Attempt.
To all the fellow CFA aspirants who are in the process,
Stay motivated and Have a clarity of Plan to your approach..
Please read this further only if you are also in process or prep phase of CFA-L1 in May-24.
If Like me your preparation is also not going as per plan and you are feeling low on confidence, Just to motivate you guys I did not study the popular belief of 300Hours.
(I studied much less than that)
However, I would specifically like to highlight the point that this post should not be the reason to get derailed in your preparations or lose focus.
Please note that being a Chartered accountant helped me a lot in getting through familiar topics of Financial statement analysis, equity valuation, Derivatives, Portfolio management, and some theory portions.
However other topics such as Quantitative aptitude, Ethics and professional standards, Economics and Alternate investments are equally new for us as well.
In My opinion Fixed income overall is a huge portion to cover and has a lot of weightage, hence please go through it conceptually and practice enough to know the variables you might be playing with in exams and days just before exams.
A Planned approach to study would surely help and we already have a lot of Gyaan and how to videos in You tube and LinkedIn posts of approaches to study
(Don't search how to complete the syllabus in 1 month as it won't help but pointers on specific topics and content of CFA institute might be relevant from exam point of view).
But if you need my help in case please reach out to be in my DMs.
And lastly, If you need to read this,
this is meant for you, "You will get through".
Upwards and onwards from hereon :)
Cheers!!!
