An interesting video about cars and cities. What it misses is a more general discussion of car design. I am a keen cyclist and have been for most of my adult life. It's not for everyone but particularly in the UK over the last 2 decades I have noticed ALL vehicles are getting wider. After potholes, this is the greatest policy related trend endangering me on the roads. Many streets have a three areas: a part by the curb, a cycle lane, and the car lane. When I started riding Nottingham roads in 2005/6 all were reasonably generous. Particularly more recently, they are less so. Many (most?) cars no longer fit in the parking section and those that do fit don't find them generous. This makes it much more dangerous. It's not just SUVs and vans. It's the entire fleet. Policy needs to push back. I don't want to get in your way, really I don't. I don't want to move erratically. Wider vehicles force the first.
