My toxic trait? Every Friday I walk my dog near the World Trade Center in Manhattan on my way to run club. Every Friday I get stopped by a tourist asking where Ground Zero is. If I hear a British or Australian accent my usual response is (in my thickest Aussie accent with a smile): “Awhh yeh, you’re in the right spot. Just take Broadway down until you hit the big white f**ken whale looking thing and take a right. Can’t bloody miss it.” Hands down, never ended in anything other than a “ahh you’re an Aussie, love it”, smile and a laugh.
