Bangalore is facing severe water crises. And the summer is around the corner and all the people have to survive for next 3 months with less water in the town. In my view , the ideal solution is : WFH (WORK FROM HOMETOWN ) Working from HOMETOWN could be a potential solution to help alleviate the water crisis in Bangalore by reducing the strain on water resources in the city. It would be important for companies to encourage and facilitate employees to work remotely during this period to decrease the demand for water in office and residential buildings. Additionally, promoting water conservation practices both at home and in the workplace can also contribute to preserving water during the dry months. #watermanagement #bangalore

Why do companies in Bangalore insist on working from office when the city is facing a massive water crisis? If most companies offer work from home option, I am sure that most of the people who want to leave Bangalore will do so and save the city from many issues such as water, traffic, infrastructure and pollution. It even improves mental health of people. Why are companies insisting on work from office? Isn’t the basic purpose of any job to contribute to society and enhance the quality of life for humanity as a whole? Why do all big companies focus only on far-fetched problems and why don’t they focus on problems that have easy solutions? Today I saw this traffic on bangalore hyderabad highways inside of city's. Traffic problem could be solved by having different timings for different types of offices on the basis of industry and location. Around 25% of the offices should operate between 9 am to 5 pm, 50% between 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, the rest between 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. 50% of the employees should be allowed to work from home on alternate day basis. They should come to office on 2 to 3 days in a week, rest work from home. This will mean less air pollution because of less traffic jam and less travel. Moreover, a lot of savings in electricity, water and other resources as people will work from home. People will get more time with their family, and they will save money on travel. Companies will pay less rentals and maintenance as now the same office could accommodate 50% more staff. Please use public transport, a bus can reduce 50 cars and an 8 coach metro can accommodate 2400 people. I love Bengaluru. An interesting slightly frustrating observation, I've been living in Bangalore for a few years now. Originally from Bengal, it takes me about 2 hours to reach home from Bangalore, which is ironically the same amount of time it takes me to get to my office here, thanks to Bangalore's traffic!No matter how far you live during peak hours, it feels like a never-ending journey. Unless you are Superman and can fly, there's no way to avoid the traffic mess. To reach the office on time, you need to leave at least 2 to 3 hours early, regardless if the distance is 6 or 16. you are practically forced to move closer to your office every time you change jobs. Well I will be honest initially it was fun- new people, new neighbors, a new home—but after a few times, it just became exhausting and a bit sad. Despite living in Bangalore for several years, I still can't find a place to call home. You end up living out of boxes because you never know when the next move will come. Bangalore has given me a lot, but it has also taken a lot. Though it's been a rollercoaster journey but still interesting. Looking forward to what more this city has in store for me. An idea for Bangalore rush! Companies should stop dropping employees by cab and start dropping by Bus. Also ask it’s employees to come to office by bus. And government should strictly order people to follow odd and even idea. It’ll not only rule down to traffic but also help to environment.

Karnataka government is trying to shoo away the IT industry from the state but industry is not catching the signals... First they came up with the idea of enacting a legislation forcing IT industry to hire ONLY locals. Industry opposed and they put it on back burner! - This was first signal. Then government thought let's scare employees now and came up with the idea of 14 hours a day work! (and this DOES NOT include your commute time in Bangalore 🤔 ) - This was the second signal. Basically, government is unable to fix the infrastructure issues for the crowded state (more specifically in Bangalore) so someone suggested to them - let's fix the crowd itself!! Hope IT industry will catch the signal and start taking corrective actions!
