Mrs. Murty goes to Delhi (Parliament) During the time I have known her, my mother, Sudha Murty, has been an engineer, a programmer, a professor (of computer science), author, philanthropist, mother, and wife. And yesterday, at the age of 74, she just started a new career - as a member of the upper house of the Indian parliament. Here she is before she left home on her first day!
Good days ahead in upper house with people like Mrs Murthy... hope her presence shall bring in much needed changes and more insightful debates

Mrs.Sudha Murthy ji Namaskaarams- Its a good time to enter in parliament - as you are a social activist for women, children, Kindly raise the issue of Education for all, share the stories of underprevileged women, as other women leaders are busy in impressing social media... As a context - 40% of youth are out of schools due to social, economic issues, these children are alienated from regular sschools, we should find a way to bridge these groups to raise upto their dreams inspite of their poverty. We should SPLIT year long academic education into Basic, Medium, Advanced certifications of a given 5th, 7th, 10th classes so that a student who can go for #ITI or learn any such surviving #skill - should be able to be #BRIDGED , #INCLUSIVE.. These #pass #certificate #exams should be #online via #prometric #center, #24X7 #365 so that nobody needs to wait upto an year or notification, without any #TC #Bonafide #validations, just #citizen #adhaar This helps #all #ages #sectors put a little #money into the #system which could improve #infra of #education #sector in #large #amounts - will improve #literacy #selfrespect #pride #100yearsOfIndependence, with #Read #wRite #aRithmetic #RRR #india

And I was completely in awe hearing her first speech at the house. We need more service minded people who strive for common cause. Prayers to God that she be bestowed with good health and abundance of energy for a successful term in Rajya sabha.
She is relentless in her pursuit to “serve”. May she be always blessed with good health.

She will be much better than Jaya Bacchan. Except obnoxious negativity, she (Jaya) did not provide any value as Rajya Sabha member.
