But what separates those who thrive from those who flounder? The answer is simple: emotional strength. Emotionally strong employees are: - More adaptable and resilient in the face of change - Better equipped to handle challenges and setbacks - More likely to be engaged and productive A recent Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Article offers some key advice How can you cultivate emotional strength in your workforce? By focusing on four fundamental human needs: Clarity: People need to understand the "why" behind change. Communicate your company's purpose, vision, and values, and how they connect to the future. Trust: Build trust by being transparent and approachable. Encourage open communication and actively listen to employee concerns. Meaning: Help employees see the bigger picture and how their work contributes to a worthy cause. Belonging: Foster a sense of community and belonging by including employees in decision-making and celebrating successes together. One more way to look at this, in our day to day ways of working: Clarity - I know what's happening, often we treat employees (fully grown adults) like kids. Hiding is not helping!!!! Meaning - what's my contribution to the greater whole, how am I contributing by changing? Trust - a strong and reliable connection with leaders. Again, stop lying if you are. Be clear, be concise and listen to act on what you can and must - and communicate what you can't focus on right now. Belonging - demonstrate unity and support like you mean it. In the past year, 5,700 senior executives have charted new courses, revealing a 4% surge in movements, driven by a resilient sector. 📊 Despite a 50% dip in overall hiring, 82% of executives made lateral moves within IT, illustrating a confidence surge. A September 30 peak saw a 14% spike in leadership changes, with 1,560 executives leading the way. 💼 Noteworthy CEOs taking the helm include those at Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, and Genpact. "Top management's confidence in the future fuels transformative hires," notes CIEL HR's Aditya Mishra. 🔄 Churn is a constant at senior levels, reflecting the sector's tech disruption. Anonymous insiders share, "The IT sector is evolving, becoming more professional, organized, and disciplined." 🌐 CIEL's study unveils a sectoral shift, with 82% moving within IT, 6% from BFSI, and 4% from FMCG.
