BREAKING - YOUR REACTION: House Republicans are proposing to rename Dulles International Airport near Washington DC after former President Donald Trump. Representative Guy Reschenthaler of Pennsylvania introduced bill HR 7845, suggesting the name change to "Donald J. Trump International Airport." Is this something that you would support? Is it a priority now?
Meh, try fixing budgets, fixing security. Changing an airport name is what you came up with using our taxpayer money. No disrespect to the president but i just think there are bigger fish...
One of the things that is fascinating about cults, and every cult has the same set of characteristics, is that the central figure is deified if not glorified to the point of sainthood despite all observed criminal actions. The cult just ignores it. It’s not an unconditional love, either: Cult figures offer distractions in place of reality. With it comes a pseudo-euphoric sensation. The cult will latch onto the leader so long as that sensation is there. Once it disappears, they will turn on the leader. In this sense, the love is conditional. We see this with Trump: Parties with Epstein. Lawsuit by the woman who claimed to have been raped by Trump at 14 (her lawyer was threatened). Fraud in business. And he… Gets an airport named after him…? 🙃
I think renaming an airport should be at the bottom of the list of bills that need to be introduced.
Not a good idea and not now.
Read #DavildTalbot’s “The Devil’s Chessboard” to get an idea of the wicked Dulles’ brothers actions in the 1950s when they held the CIA and State Department under their leadership. They are exactly why President Eisenhower issued the Military Industrial Complex speech warning. No. The airport is currently named for John Foster Dulles, a former secretary of state under President Dwight Eisenhower who fought against communism during the early stages of the Cold War. Perhaps if it were a generic name such as Chantilly International Airport, it could make sense to rename it for historic purposes, but it can't get any more historic than it currently is, which also happened to be dedicated by JFK. I say don't touch it.
It's not a priority but not a bad idea
I frankly think it would a great idea. I never like flying out of Dulles because Reagan is a lot closer to home. But, if Dulles was renamed for Trump I might just start using it.
I would hope you have more important things to do for the good of all citizens than worry about the name of an airport. It’s no wonder Republicans trail in fund raising and struggle with winning elections.
