Here’s three key takeaways we had from our conversation with her: 💡 “Hong Kong is a melting pot of exciting people looking to pursue their dreams, and so it was no surprise that when I returned from my circus break in Peru, I chanced upon somebody who worked in blockchain. It was an exciting new industry and they were looking for someone in Hong Kong with a legal background.” 👩💻 “At the time, I knew nothing about technology. But ready to take a leap and explore new opportunities, I faced my fears and went for it. Over time, I learnt more about technology, moving across different companies in Hong Kong’s ecosystem, and eventually joining a company called NEST, which helps make Web3 technology more accessible.” 🇭🇰 “To me, Hong Kong is a place that nurtures. If you look at its bustling start-up ecosystem, you’ll notice the city’s openness to opportunity, in how it feeds and grows companies’ resources. Guided by a friend who's been instrumental in my journey, I've managed to secure a genesis node in the Cess, Cumulus Encrypted Storage System within the primary market. The investment for one genesis node is $15,000, with anticipated returns ranging from 6-fold to 60-fold. In RMB terms, a project could yield a return of A7.5 directly. (Essentially, it has reserved a spot with Binance. So 1u for 1cess is very possible) Reaching this milestone has been a three-year endeavor. All the activities I've engaged in and showcased on my profile, every step forward, have been authentic and fruitful. I have always upheld honesty in all my actions, particularly regarding my initiatives, which I've undertaken personally without a team's assistance. I am deeply thankful for the key individuals who've supported me throughout this journey. Although I'm reluctant to use the term "benefactors" due to its frequent misuse, my appreciation for their genuine support is profound. The rigorous college application process has made it clear that we live in a time of intense competition, where many have remarkable activity backgrounds. The key takeaway for me is to look inward for strength and to continue on my path with optimism. 😊 It's challenging in this era to have one's true potential recognized. Even with a LinkedIn profile displaying all my best qualities, actual engagement is scarce. Proficiency in information retrieval is vital, and the ability to proactively identify information gaps is even more important. I'd like to extend my congratulations to the university that has accepted me; you have shown great discernment. I hope that the school's future will prosper and rise, just as I intend for my own, as we both navigate a flourishing path. 😄
