SNEF Executive Director, Mr Gim Guan Sim joined Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Manpower and National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Assistant Secretary-General Ms Wan Ling Yeo on the panel at the Dialogue on Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests (TG-FWAR) organised by the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) on 12 July 2024. The dialogue was moderated by SHRI President, Mr D N Prasad, PCC. IHRP-MP.     In his opening remarks, SMS Zaqy highlighted the importance of having proper process as well as open communications to build trust between management and workers for successful implementation of FWA.   To address the concerns of HR professionals on assessing each FWA request properly, Mr Sim emphasized that what is more important is for employers to engage and understand the reason for each request, and explore solutions that will meet the needs of both the employer and the employee. Allow flexibility without losing productivity.   The event was organised as part of a series of post-launch engagement sessions on the TG-FWAR by the tripartite partners.
