We've all been feeling the pinch this year on our wallets so it's no surprise that it's the word of the year 😂 Our research found that 53% of employees say stress from cost of living is negatively impacting their work, so cozzie livs isn't just impacting personal financial wellbeing, it's also got ripple effects for employee engagement and productivity. We did a deep dive into the data again to uncover how this differs across the generations, and came up with some interesting insights: 💸 59% of 18-24 year olds say stress from the rising cost of living negatively impacts their work; 💸 64% of 25-34 year olds say the same; 💸 And 60% of 35-44 year olds agree. Overall wellbeing was a key theme that we all aligned on - covering mental, physical, nutrition for our health. Together these pillars are a powerful tools for employers to support their employees and build the right working environment. I shared about - 💰 The impact financial stress can have on employees - such as decreased productivity, absenteeism and up to 3 hours per week spent at work dealing with finances. 👫 That 56% of women hand over long term decision making (aka investing) to their partners 🧒 That very few countries teach financial literacy to children (Denmark leads the way) yet financial education can help them build a blueprint towards financial security and therefore more options for meaningful work. Therefore money (or lack thereof, worrying about it) won't be the driving force in all work decisions. 📈 Research shows over 89% of employers intend to create or expand financial wellbeing program to tackle this issue head on and support overall wellbeing. While many companies invest heavily in financial wellness programs, two-thirds of employees still experience financial struggles.
