Here's another one of the chefs I trained on how to start his cooking show. Spike launched his cooking show in January and has about a hundred subscribers, so far. His subscriber count will grow slowly and then accelerate as he continues showing up every week with a new cooking video. The snowball will eventually start rolling downhill. What I'm showing you here is what the process looks like. Often, people look at someone with a huge social media following and wonder how they got there or think it's unattainable. How they got there is by showing up consistently and doing the work. The magic or secret sauce you're looking for is in the work that you're avoiding. Put in the work, do it consistently, get the results. It's as simple as that. I'll continue showing you chefs I've trained as they build their work from home businesses, one video at a time. But a much smarter move for you would be to start putting in the work to build YOUR lifestyle business, rather than watching other people build theirs. Spike is going to have 50 videos posted on YouTube by the end of the year. Opportunity IS going to come knocking for Spike. Somebody is going to see one of his videos and discover his channel and binge watch more of his videos and business opportunities will come from that. There's no telling which week it's going to happen. The only way to be in the right place at the right time is to show up consistently. That's how fortunes are built...you keep showing up consistently and, eventually, you'll be in the right place at the right time and run into some "luck" because you've made a habit out of showing up. #culinary #cooking #foodbusiness #cheflife https://lnkd.in/ee5NXnJH

Training staff is a hectic and crucial factor that reduces the chances of mistakes and unhappy guests. Staff should be careful of opening the wine bottle as it can harm the guest if it explodes or opens incorrectly. Each staff has to be trained to open corks and a variety of wine bottles as well as the technique to hold the bottle and handle wine glasses. similarly, they should know that red wines are served at room temperature and white wine is served chilled. well, it does vary in some brands. they should also be taught how and how much to serve. In the case of wine, more is not better.

In the bustling city of Las Vegas, Nevada, Super Bowl LVIII is currently underway, with the dazzling Allegiant Stadium taking center stage as the host venue. The excitement is palpable as football enthusiasts and fans from all corners eagerly anticipate the unfolding spectacle, promising a perfect blend of sportsmanship, entertainment, and the vibrant energy unique to Vegas. Las Vegas is known for many things: casinos, spectacular shows, over-the-top nightlife, and bad decisions (hey, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, as they say!) For foodies like me, Sin City is most famous for one thing: buffets. No city in America gives you a better opportunity to eat your weight in delicious food. But how did Vegas become so synonymous with the all-you-can-eat buffet? For that matter, how did buffets get started in the first place? Let’s dig in… #lasvegas #SuperBowlLVIII

Don’t assume success… Lost Distellery enetered a hyper competitive market with a high price tag in an off the beaten path location. They engineered a lot of head winds into their go to market strategy. My guess is lots of people saw this business and assumed it was successful. If you went there on a Friday night you might have found it full. I talk to entrepreneurs all the time that presume other businesses they see are successful. And then they use that assumption as input into their own strategy. Building a GTM strategy on non-validated assumptions is dangerous. You stack them up and your business all of a sudden becomes a house of cards. Be aware of your assumptions.
Lost Spirits Distillery, a place where you could eat a 16-course meal in a submarine while watching acrobats is unfortunately walking the plank. Turns out, selling $355 dinners in a fake submarine wasn’t the gold mine it was envisioned to be, even with dragon-topped stills. LBE looking to pop up in Vegas might want to take note that even a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-themed restaurant with its own rum distillery and Cirque-style entertainment couldn't make the cut.

Personal Branding Voice | Previous 2x Podcast Host | Passionate about Entrepreneurship, Media, Retail, Content Creation, and Technology | International Management Graduate at University of Manchester and McGill Desautels
Day 15/30 of my series of retail, social media, business and much more! I think REFY is one of the coolest brands right now. Started when founder, Jess Hunt, had a famous five step eyebrow routine to get her signature fluffy brows (a huge trend), and her friend & makeup artist (Jenna Meek) noticed a product development opportunity for a functional product, they have since killed it with incredible social media campaigns and content, amazing activations (like the one below) and I believe they have disrupted the beauty market in a very impressive way. From my consumer/follower perspective, Jess owned the fluffy brow trend and I saw it as part of her personal brand even as the trend died down and so when I saw her launch their famous brow sculpt, it made so much sense. It’s one of my absolute favourite things to see in business when someone’s authenticity and unique personal brand allows them to create an opportunity and have it go beyond them - as REFY has done with its worldwide success. I think the brand really understands social media as they are consistently bringing out exciting campaigns, pop ups, and unique activations, which is important in the beauty industry where hype phases can die out quickly. And of course after the huge success of what I think is their hero product (the brow sculpt), they are expanding into other beauty product categories like lips and face, which is in line with their focus on functional, natural and clean makeup. If you haven’t already heard of them, they’re one to watch for sure. (Also last point because I could talk all day and I’m actually studying them for some coursework right now, but their retail partnerships are very interesting as 3 weeks into launching Sephora picked them up so they’ve been stocked in the US and UK since very early on. Very impressive and from my retail knowledge, a great move to bring that brand awareness and cement their presence as a great brand in the beauty space) Thanks for sharing Charlotte Geoghegan! #refybeauty #refy #socialmedia #brandexperience
The REFY Wine Bar 🍷✨ After a pretty wild year with activations in London, New York and Paris we decided to celebrate with our own Wine Bar in the heart of our home city, Manchester! We loved partnering with one of our favourite local businesses to bring this to life and meet all our Manchester girlies. You might not have a ticket to the CHANEL show, but you’re more than welcome to experience a little bit of Manchester’s electric culture at our Wine Bar 🤍 There’s a mini lip gloss up for grabs with every glass of REFY house red or white, so come down and cheers with us! The Wine Bar is open until Sunday (but closed for a little private REFY event tonight 👀). Where would you like to see us pop-up next? #brand #marketing #events #brandexperience

Why is Miami ranked #23 on TimeOut's list of The 50 Best Cities in the World in 2024? TimeOut's Ashley Brozic says: "Between globally recognized chefs like Massimo Bottura opening restaurants here (Torno Subito is coming to Miami this year) and secondary outposts for Latin American restaurant groups, you can get a taste of the entire world in one place. Local chefs are leveling up, too. Check out our latest food hall opening, Julia & Henry’s, for a sample."
