Mixing it up at AWE'24 in Long Beach! The Geopogo team has been spreading the word about the unique and immediate power of GeopogoCities, digital twins, and Geopogo building models, and catching up on all the best in 3D viz tech. We have been thrilled to also unveil our new one-click AI-powered tool to dig into the site-specific zoning info for any and all properties in a given city. We have started with two of our hometowns-- Berkeley, California and Windsor, Ontario-- moving quickly into cities on the scale of LA, with 2.1 million properties, to be available next week! It takes a quick minute to assemble and crunch a gazillion points of data from multiple sources... 🚀 Exciting Development / Testing at BIMWERX! 🚀 I'm thrilled to share a project we're working on at BIMWERX: a new crowd simulator. This tool is designed to integrate with 3D model geometry from platforms like Revit or ArchiCAD, analyze the topology, and allow you to place crowds and set crowd flow criteria with ease. It then simulates the crowd dynamics in 3D. Here's a quick rundown: - Import IFC files from Revit, ArchiCAD, and others. - Analyze the topology of your models automatically. - Place crowds and define their movement patterns with a few clicks. - Simulate using Recast & Detour technology for accurate crowd dynamics. - Visualize with the open-source graphics engine, Ogre, avoiding commercial gaming engines. This tool aims to help architects, planners, and engineers visualize and plan for crowd movements, whether for emergency evacuation, event management, or everyday foot traffic analysis. Still a lot of development to do (if we decide to continue with it) but definitely a very cool concept! Idea without implementation has zero worth. Taimoor Hassan once told me this. I took this quote very seriously because of the truth it holds. We all get a lot of ideas in our heads but never act on them. And when we see someone else executing our ideas, we are left with only one thing to do: cry about it 😭 Thanks to buildspace and Farza Majeed, we have finally gotten the opportunity to work on our own ideas, something that we have wanted to do for a very long time: "An AI app to help you learn any language in a cool and easy way." 🗣 Yes, you heard that right! 😉 But there is a twist, which I will share later on!
