Content Strategist | Copywriter | EA | I Engage Your Audience with Powerful Copywriting and Storytelling Mastery To Boost Your Brand’s Voice, Growth and Impact.
I'll never forget the day I walked into the biggest pitch of my career completely unprepared. As I feverishly flipped through my notebook trying to find my notes, the client wasted no time jumping right into the tough questions. I could feel the panic rising in my chest as all the ideas I'd spent weeks crafting seemed to vanish into thin air. That's when out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the photo frames on their wall - each one capturing a memorable brand campaign. In a moment of inspiration, I launched into an off-the-cuff story about the passion and creativity that went into each frame. By reframing their challenges into opportunities, just like in those photos, we could design an even more impactful solution. You should have seen the look of surprise on their faces when I wrapped up the perfect pitch entirely improvised! The moral? In this business of constant change, you have to be able to think on your feet and spin straw into gold when the pressure's on. Always keep your wits sharp (Sharpen your mental agility) - you never know when inspiration will strike! PS: Have you ever saved your best idea for the last minute? Internal Communications & Change Consultant (Catalyst) | Moderator | Patient Advocate | Coach |🌀Game changing cross-functional leadership, collaboration and innovation - saving months and millions!
Brings me back to some crippling honest feedback I got from a very successful player in leadership development whom I was trying to impress. 🤦♀️😂 I explained my superpower of ‘quickly putting my finger on what hurts’ (as one exec had put it). Aka - Identifying the real problem vs the symptoms. Then helping leaders not waste time and money on pseudo solutions that won’t solve the actual problem; having to respend again and again as a consequence. Rather creating targeted, tailored solutions that will have real impact on the pain point. “Yeah, that’s awesome. But I find companies don’t buy the solution to the real problem. They really just want the band aid.” That has stuck with me in a real way. 🤯 What I believed should make me stand out might hold me back? 📊 A very useful data point when it comes to strategizing for value proposition and new business as a consultant. 🙉 A very frustrating point, if I allow it, when it comes to facing the realities vs the ambitions of the industries we serve. Adjusting for this truth, we change agents have to: 💃 do the DANCE sometimes of solving for the symptom while buying time it takes to nudge them toward truer understanding of and desire to fix the underlying problem. 🎙️use THEIR WORDS about the pain points and problems and their priorities for impact and resources in order to help them see that they actually want to solve the deeper problem. ❄️ learn to LET IT GO…Do what we do best when they buy-in and move on when they still don’t want to. 🔊BUT FIRST overtly align on understanding of objectives and proper expectations with clearly stated implications. 🍻 CHEERS - celebrate the progress however big or small, giving them and yourself grace. Growth just like change is difficult and takes time - sometimes takes just the right time. Keep doing what you can! ————————- If you’re a leader with a complex challenge and you’d actually like to address the real problems to maximize your impact, I can help. Let’s Talk!
Super fast response to something that’s crushing a lot of you. You over analyze and you lack patience .. so of course, you’re “stuck” .. people are always actually asking .. how do I become successful faster .. and the answer is always … slower and with less judgement on yourself. In their desperation to put wins on the board so the audience claps for them, they end up taking shortcuts. It’s hard for such people to build a meaningful business because they’re so focused on making a million dollars and buying clothes, boats, and other fancy things without having cultivated patience. Whatever you do professionally is normally going to be something that will take up most of your life, so patience is a practical way to get to your ambition and build something meaningful.

Patience is crucial for professional success as it allows for thoughtful decision-making and the building of meaningful ventures. Gary Vaynerchuk emphasizes that over-analyzing and lacking patience can lead to feeling 'stuck.' Success comes slower with less self-judgment, avoiding shortcuts for quick wins. Patience fosters the development of substantial businesses over time, aligning with long-term ambitions.
