Step 2 - Streamline operations. Example ↳ Automate processes like invoicing or scheduling. Step 3 - Delegate tasks. Example ↳ Hire a virtual assistant to handle admin duties. Step 4 - Embrace flexibility. Example ↳ Work from home on days you can to avoid rush hour traffic. Step 5 - Prioritize self-care. Example ↳ Block out time for exercise/leisure reading/etc.. We spoke with Paul Carrick Brunson, TV host and serial entrepreneur, who shared five smart strategies that keep him on track in both personal and professional life. 1 - Work-life balance vs work-life integration: Balance means equal and in many cases balance between work and personal life just isn't feasible. You’ll always find that one part of your life needs more attention than another. By dropping the frustration and focusing on integration you can build a plan that flexes where needed. Can you bring your family with you if you need to travel for work? Can you adjust your working schedule to start later in the day to ensure you're free for the morning school rush? Review your current lifestyle and see where you can start building work-life integration into the mix 2 - Be efficient with your time: Make sure your key focuses are symbiotic. Think about how effort and time put into one focus can help another. Maybe you're focusing on improving your overall communication? Not only will that help you with your colleagues and clients at work but it will also help in ensuring you communicate effectively with your family from a personal perspective. 3 - Set strict limitations on key decisions: The average person wastes seven hours per week just making decisions. By setting strict limitations you’ll make them faster and be more satisfied with your choices. 4 - Identify the nice and cut the unnecessary: Highlight the things you need and begin to cut the wants. By doing this you can save hundreds of hours and use that gained time more effectively 5 - Duplicate yourself: Depending on the stage of your journey, it could be useful to build a team around you. Hire an assistant to help with time consuming tasks. This will free up time for you to focus on the things that are most important to you at that time.
