My reasons for starting my own business were to improve my personal future. But, the only way I could do that is to provide another option that could help others do the same! But, we are just one little piece of the puzzle for many brands. We may be their SE broker but we don’t cover the rest of their business. We understand that and have built a network of other independent brokers. But, brokers for retail may only scratch the surface of what a brand needs! How do we help brands find help in food service, C-stores, e-comm, etc.? Because, I don’t think SMB is going to learn these things. Inspired by Eric Martindale’s post today, we think we should build a bigger network. There are many great independent companies in all parts of this industry, but we are all working in our little worlds. How do we pool our knowledge, resources, abilities to provide greater service to our industry. Well, we meet up and discuss of course. We could get together virtually or around an Expo in person. It may sound complicated but it can start with this post. So, my call is to the independent service providers of all stripes. Who wants to work together to give greater support to our brands and our industry. If you’re a brand and would love to shout out great providers, please do so!
