I am beyond thrilled to share that I am embarking on a path that combines my passion for education and medicine. Before pursuing medical school, I have decided to dedicate a few gap years as a corps member for Teach for America Bay Area. Through Teach for America, I am humbled and honored to teach 6th grade Science at Renaissance Academy at Fischer for the next two years, and potentially beyond! The warm welcome I have received from Renaissance Academy has made me even more excited for this opportunity. Teaching 6th grade students as they navigate a new environment and explore their academic potential fills me with anticipation. My goal is to foster a nurturing environment that cultivates curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth. As a Human Biology graduate, I am particularly eager to share my love for the subject with my students. I am dedicated to making science engaging and enjoyable for them, as it can sometimes be a challenging subject. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Arcadia Christian School, my elementary alma mater, and their teachers for sparking my love for education. A special thank you goes to my teacher, Mr. Goh, who entrusted me with teaching in his position during my undergraduate summers. Without your trust, I may not have contemplated a career in education. I also want to extend my appreciation to Dr. Kwak for her invaluable letter of recommendation to the program, as well as my endlessly supportive employer, Pathways Healthcare. I am eagerly looking forward to relocating to the Bay Area to embark on this incredible journey.
