There have been more discussions around #Inclusion in the workplace for disability, including #IntellectualDisability in Indonesia, but there is still very limited opportunity, even for training/internship to prepare for #IntellectualDisability to enter the job market. Much appreciation to those organisations that #WalkTheTalk , but the gap is still huge and much more need to be done. One approach could be for #DevelopmentOrganisations to consider facilitating a sharing of models/approaches of inclusion in the workplace, discussion of their effectiveness and how they can be replicated by other organisations.

Making workplaces truely inclusive elevates companies in the minds of past present and future employees. You never know when a disabled person will come through your virtual and physical doors. Today is the day to be the change in your workplace. Start by making small changes and eventually the needle will move. Change is hard only because it takes a reset of the way work has been done for a number of years, which in turn, leads to some resistance. Communicate and continue to be an ally and change maker.
