Today’s the day! Today FESTIVE ROAD becomes a buyer services only consultancy and the fabulous Paul Tilstone exits his role and shareholding to start his next supplier services only venture. I’d like to take a moment to recognise Paul and all he’s brought to Festive Road. As let’s be clear, without Paul there would simply be no Festive Road! He said let’s start a consultancy, I came up with a list of reasons not to... Yes Paul and I are totally different creatures, but that’s why it was such a great partnership. Where he saw opportunity, I saw risk. When he doubted, I convinced him it to make the move anyway. When I said lets go this way, he’d say I disagree let’s go this way instead. We always found a way. You couldn’t miss Paul’s extrovert ways at an event, meeting hundreds of people for a few minutes at a time … while I stayed firmly in my introvert comfort zone onstage or in 1:1 debates. But that’s exactly it. That’s what helped make the purpose led, people-first consultancy what it is today. We’ve spent the past 8 years hand picking each Roader to now reach the place where Paul looks around him and knows the time is right. There’s a group of 40+ Roaders each with their unique strengths and personal values, all in his wake ready to create better for the buyer community and this industry. So, what next for Paul? Today Paul launches temoji consulting, helping suppliers create social & intellectual capital. I have no doubt Paul will be sharing more of the specifics in the coming weeks and months, and I for one am excited and curious to see what next. #thankyou #partner #createevenbetter
