Office of the Provost: Afro-descendant Institute of Human Rights Let me see how smart you are about “who you are”. This surely is a question of identity. Eg, “Who are we”. The question is how do we solve the identity question? The answer is that our identity has been resolved by a confirming vote of the ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES. We have been given an identifying “status” as Afrodescendants who now have the right to the lands that they have perennially lived on with the sovereignty authority over that land. The Republicans and Democrats both despise you as well as the Negro politicians who won’t even mention the word “ Afrodescendants”. Of course, we have to get rid of the “clear and present danger, but you must remember that the Democratic Party has offered us nothing and refuse to recognize our “Afrodescendant identity”. So we must have our own Conventions where we recognize ourselves. Don’t you think it is time for a real piece of the pie? It is now possible. Do yourselves a favor and research “ Afrodescendants”. You may learn “who you are”.

Honor has a disposition. Honor has its peculiar attributes and uniqueness. Honor comes with a silent realization of value and public communication of respect for the value. You are designed to honor the dignity of humanity. Beyond this, you are to honor some special people because of the roles that they play in your life. Honor will never be forgotten. Honor never forgets. Honor has sound memories and sound judgment. Honor attracts honor. Honor attracts favor. Honor attracts blessings. Genuine honor for the sacredness of human lives brings development. May you communicate honor, and may you receive honor. You are honorable. The Founding Father delegates of the Second Continental Congress declared that the Thirteen Colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the monarch of Britain, King George III, and were now united, free, and independent states. The Congress voted to approve independence by passing the Lee Resolution on July 2 and adopted the Declaration of Independence two days later, on July 4. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches, and ceremonies celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Medal of Honor Day, held annually on March 25, provides an opportunity for Medal of Honor Recipients and the public alike to pause and reflect on the importance of service and sacrifice. National Medal of Honor Day was first observed on March 25, 1991, when Congress declared it as a day to "foster public appreciation and recognition of Medal of Honor Recipients." The selected date has an important place in Medal of Honor history, as March 25, 1863, was the date of the first Medal of Honor presentation. On that day, Private Jacob Parrott became the first Recipient of the Medal of Honor. Parrott's was one of six Medals of Honor presented that day to the Andrews Raiders, a group who showed the values of courage, commitment, sacrifice, integrity, commitment and patriotism which are still important to Recipients of the Medal of Honor today.
