🏷️Do people care about labels on food? If not, why not? Is it scepticism, visibility, apathy? 🐔 Chris van Tulleken explores chicken labelling. How can consumers feel informed about where their food is coming from - and if they knew, would it affect what they purchased? The organic label is a great way for #organic businesses to provide certain assurances, in this case, the high animal welfare of chickens. So it's crucial we better understand how consumers interact with the label https://lnkd.in/gVaYggCH

What NOT to do in Trap-Neuter-Return (#TNR): DO NOT use trapping equipment that is not specifically meant for cats. DO NOT try to catch a cat with your hands. DO NOT withhold food for more than 48 hours before trapping. DO NOT withhold water. DO NOT give up! Be patient, persistent, and clever. If you keep trying, you will get that cat into that humane trap! Learn more at alleycat.org/HardToTrap

Ready to switch to cage-free layer housing without losing any control? From feeding and drinking, to burning calories and laying eggs. Laying hens behave differently in many ways when they are out of the cage. This means that egg producers need to set up their processes differently in order to achieve optimal results. We can help you with that. We explain how you, as a cage-free egg producer, can: 1. Manage your layers’ daily routine using feed, water, light and nest control. 2. Control feed, water, lighting, nests, climate, weighing and egg counting with one single control system. 3. Optimize egg production and egg flow control in cage-free houses. If you consume dairy, you support all of this: Every year in the dairy industry thousands and thousands of male calves are shot or taken away, deemed useless because they cannot produce milk .....and even if they were 'lucky' enough to be born female, dairy calves are routinely taken away prematurely from their mothers so you can drink THEIR milk. Fed a cheap formula replacement, they themselves are then enslaved into the abusive industry and the system repeats itself. Most dairy cows don't last longer than 5 years in the dairy industry. As soon as their milk drops off they're shot and ground up as cheap burgers. Cows outside the industry can live up to 20 years. Because cows don't make milk per se. Just like humans, they make milk to FEED their babies. Are you still drinking THEIRS? Go VEGAN and no one gets HURT. #notinmyname #dairyiscruel #govegan #change ▶️ Watch this reel https://lnkd.in/euUVjgjM
