TEPRI recently released their 2024 Community Voices in #Energy Survey drawing from the experiences of 6,520 Texans statewide. A few cogent insights from the report: 💡 Energy #affordability, or lack thereof, remains a key concern & challenge. 💡 Interest in clean energy options from electricity providers is significant (71%), but only a small fraction of respondents are actually in clean energy programs (10%). 💡 People are willing to pay more on their #electricity bills to use clean energy. 💡 Texans statewide are willing to adjust their behavior to prevent a blackout if they are #compensated. (And they should be!) Great work to the folks at TEPRI for championing the lived experiences of Texans and working to make energy reliable, affordable and clean. Thanks for the insights Micalah. It’s interesting to see that the lack of energy affordability exists at the same time as a willingness to pay more if using clean energy.

This is great advocacy for and from Texans! The technology is only improving. May your work cause tremendous change and efficacy to harness what is available with green and clean energy. It is a bucket list of mine to in my later career to show gratitude for how energy is shaping the future. I’m humbled to be working for a renewable energy company while knowing that we can adopt best practices and show the voice of people that support this industrial computerized revolution that has been calling upon everyone to participate in.
