Measures needed to restore moisture and heat exchange between the ocean, atmosphere and crustal surface. We should switch to using atmospheric water generators (AWGs) all over the planet.  This will make it possible to refuse water withdrawal from surface and underground sources. AGVs can produce the required volume of water for both drinking and industrial needs.  They will become vital in a water crisis and ensure the sustainability of water supply. With the mass adoption of AGVs, water that evaporates from the ocean and includes microplastics will pass through the device's filters, which will remove all contaminants. Clearing these pollutants will restore the ocean's ability to transfer heat from the Earth's crust to the atmosphere and on to space. A bit of a seasonal thought on 'Snow Melt' systems in cold arctic climates... Typically used to prevent the build-up of snow and ice on pavements, roadways, cycle ways etc... they can be electrical resistance or hydronic based using fossil fuel boiler/ furnace... (think 'external' under-floor heating!) But where do Snow-Melt systems fit within a corporate Net Zero agenda? Is enough being done to 'Decarbonise' snow-melt systems e.g. suitability of Heat Pump based solutions etc? #sustainability #arctic #climate

The House of the Future - mainly good article, explaining simply what the options are. All these items are available now, although still expensive. However, one big flaw when people talk about heating and hot water: currently 80% of houses do NOT have water tanks which are essential for heat pump installation. The other issue is that the houses that can have heat pumps are likely to need bigger radiators - this will create a big waste/recycling problem - also not mentioned by those in government advocating installing 600,000 per year. No sign of any radiators in the illustration, and 5 static panels is unlikely to be sufficient to power a house of this size with the size of heat pump it needs. As temperatures increase, solar gain/cooling will be a real factor. Since it was first created, halogen type refrigerants have not shown any significant problems since they were used as a cooling medium or heating medium, to produce cooling or heating. But after a long time of use, this material has a negative impact on the environment, namely in the end causing quite drastic climate changes.
