Very happy to share our recent publication on temporal nitrogen release dynamics of cover crop monocultures and mixtures in a subtropical agroecosystem. Our results highlighted that nitrogen release from cover crops was very time sensitive with >60% lost in the first 30 days. Mixtures enhanced N release relative to monocultures within the first two months; however, timing of this synergistic effect depended on grass species in the mixture. AgriTech Info 010 Dear Farmers, Don't just cultivate crops simply because others are into the cultivation of that particular crops rather avoid following the crowd. Choose your crop that aligns with your strengths, skills, and resources. Consider your: - Management expertise - Soil type and climate - Market demand and competition - Equipment and infrastructure - Personal interests and goals By choosing a crop that fits your capabilities, you'll be better equipped to manage it effectively, minimize risks, and maximize returns. As an agronomist, I am optimistic about the future of agricuture sector in Semi Arid regions .By adopting sustainable practices, Semi arid regions can unlock its agricultural potential. Improved soil health, efficient water management, and the use of disease-resistant crops will lead to increased food security, economic growth, and rural development. Empowering farmers with knowledge and resources, coupled with investments in research and development, will allow Somaliland to cultivate a thriving and resilient agricultural sector that benefits all stakeholders. This future is within reach, and by working together, we can help Semi arid regions to sow the seeds of a brighter agricultural future. #BravoAgronomist #farming in Desert

While many farmers and agronomists soil sample after their harvest, the best time is now, before planting. For one, you’re not as busy. More importantly, it supplies you with the data you need to make important management decisions during the season, including fungicide choices. Read our latest blog article and see the benefits you get when you Sample Your Soil While the Sun Shines at https://bit.ly/3USGB5x #tracegenomics #soilsampling #soilscience

Achieving successful perennial pastures establishment: Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting Booroobil Pastoral Co to catch up with Farm Manager James Taylor and Senior Consultant Cameron Morris from Ag Diagnostics. We discussed their ongoing journey with Precision Agriculture, aimed at achieving improved soil health and pasture establishment. Nestled on the outskirts of the Victorian Ranges, Booroobil Pastoral Co offers breathtaking views of Mount Thackery and the Chimney Pots, making it a truly picturesque farm. To ensure the efficient allocation of farm inputs such as Lime, Gypsum, and Phosphorus/Potassium fertilizers, the team at Booroobil Pastoral Co has implemented a rigorous soil testing program. This approach is helping them achieve their key goals of enhancing soil health and establishing thriving pastures. #precisionagriculture #weknowsoil #soilislife #itallstartswithsoil #topsoiltesting #subsoiltesting #soil #soilscience #cropping #pasture #horticulture #viticulture #carbonbaselining #acidicsoils #Phosphorus #potassium #analytes #sodicity #VRgypsum #VRlime #VRfert #soil #soiltesting #soilscience #SoilTechnology #carbonbaseline #precisioncarbon
