Yesterday was a monumental day in Kansas City as our team joined with the KCMO community to watch the Weld Wheel Building come down. The implosion of the blighted building brings the SomeraRoad Inc. team one step closer to realizing the shared vision for a reimagined West Bottoms. The phased project will ultimately bring 168K SF of Class-A office space, +1,200 residential units, 100K SF of hand selected local and nationally acclaimed retail tenants, a boutique hotel, and a public green space built for community gathering, events, and connectivity. Thank you to Kansas City, our partners, and Mayor Quinton Lucas for your support in reaching this pinnacle moment. We look forward to officially breaking ground later this year. #KCMO #WestBottoms cc: Ian L. More redevelopment is coming to the West Bottoms. The SomeraRoad Inc. project will bring 1,600 new housing units, office, retail, and urban park space to an area underinvested in for almost a century. A great morning for Kansas City.
Nice work! 👏🏽
