This fall, Stony Brook University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is offering an online course in Reliability Theory, a subject of significant interest to industry engineers. Reliability Theory is a versatile field with applications spanning across aerospace engineering, electronics, manufacturing, and software engineering. The principles of good reliability engineering have been instrumental in delivering the trustworthy products and services that we rely on today. For some strange reason, my colleague Adedamola Adewunmi suggested that I consider pursuing a career in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, given my BSc. Honors in the field. Even though I was quick to respond with, "I have already found my passion in the software development field," I spent some time over the weekend reflecting on the points he made. This led me to revisit my final year project, "Design and Development of an Automated Result Management System for the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering - University of Cross River." Recognizing its rich content, I decided to submit it for publication in the World Journal of Engineering and Research Technology. Just this morning, it was approved ✅.
