#youtube Cohhcarnage is one of those Youtuber's who I look to when I'm looking for someone's honest and definitive insight into a game that I'm waiting for the release of, or am honestly thinking of purchasing it. CD PROJEKT RED just released their 2.0 update for Cyberpunk along with the Phantom Liberty expansion on top of that, and when I woke up this morning, I saw that Cohhcarnage had indeed released his opinion video on this very subject. And as usual, my insights aligned nearly perfectly with everything he said. I'm always interested in hearing other points of view and things of that nature, and I have found time and time again that #youtube certainly allows for that sort of platform to prevail. If you're interested in hearing his thoughts on this release, I'll post the video. While we are also on this topic, I'd like to provide a bit of my own thoughts as well because if people do remember, Cyberpunk 2077 did not come out in a finished state. Some have said that 1.0 feels like the early access version of Cyberpunk which...when you have a highly anticipated release that's meant to impress millions, you don't what that umbrella opinion weighing over you. Fortunately, as is noticeable from the reception it's receiving as of this morning, CD PROJEKT RED have delivered on that promise, though probably later than people wanted. I am happy to see that this version of Cyberpunk 2077 is exactly what the developers had dreamed of to begin with, but again, I just hope this doesn't mean that any game can get leeway because eventually it will be good. Take a look at how Diablo IV is doing right now. As gamers, we just want a finished game. And if not a finished game, at least a game that provides a good enough experience to warrant spending sometimes 70-80$ on it. Fancy a challenge? Nicholas and I are finishing the first Population Z One Shot today. These One Shots will be a big feature of the game going forward. One Shots are used to tell a story. Perhaps a background of Survivor. Maybe how a Zombie character was turned and created. The One Shots will be different to the campaign skirmishes as they: 🌾 - Are set on smaller battlefields - typically 2ft x 2ft 🤠 - Focus on main character NPCs 🧟♂️ - Feature fewer Shuffler Zombies - sometimes none! 🐷 - Introduce new Survivor characters 🎃 - Introduce new Zombie characters 🔧 - Offer new fun mechanics to try out 🍕 - Allow you to discover new items and gear 🧩 - Challenge you to complete a specific task or puzzle ⏰ - Take less time to play than The Huntsville Campaign - included in the Core Book - focuses on the outbreak, so we've made sure there are a lot of Zombies in those skirmishes ... A LOT. As the story develops, the game evolves, and more campaigns are released, the scenarios and number of Zombies will change to reflect the environments. One Shots will fall in between these campaigns, so you can base them in another part of the fictional world or try them out with a totally different Group of Survivors. You can also play them as 'side-quests' during a campaign to give your Survivors a chance to recover or find new gear. Population Z is all about having fun with our friends and family, and sharing exciting adventures together around the table.
