What is time? Is time really important to us?? Is timing mean we have to wait for something to happen?Or do we have the power to change what will going to happened in the future? Time waits for no one. It can ruin you or it can make you a successful person. We as Malaysians always take time for granted. We can't help it, so they say. Blaming something external such as traffic congestion, cat died, couldn't get parking spots etc. Heard it all and it didn't bore me at all. Usually when you have some major things to do or are given a task, make sure you come early so you won't be late. If there's traffic "sesak", come early to beat the traffic. Or to some extent, can always catch the LRT or MRT. OR better, maybe give a brand new creative excuse of being late. That surely make my day.

Tomorrow is a big day here in the east of Seoul, as we are finally going to have a subway link to the nearby cities of Guri and Namyangju. Most people that live there commute to Seoul by bus, which takes about an hour or so. Or by car, but the road leading in is pretty congested and can be even slower than just bussing in. The new line will cut the time by about twenty minutes each way and doesn't require going outside in the rain or snow to catch a bus. (It's raining pretty hard right now as I write this) So that'll make these two cities an even more tempting destination for people to move to. Seoul proper has fallen below 10 million as people move outside it, but not too far away. Just enough to afford a house and have a good amount of green space nearby to enjoy. If you live or have lived in Japan, I'm sure you are aware of how amazing the customer service is. People go so far to accommodate you and that's very much appreciated, most of the time. I'm also sure people are aware now how brutal summers in Japan can be. What's their solution? Crank up the air conditioner to the max. Turn everywhere into a freezer. (So much so that I think I caught a cold, again.) 😰 😷 🏔 Classrooms, buses, convenience stores, you name it. The other day I took a bus that was so cold that it felt like entering a meat freezer. Even the windows were full of condensation. I don't need to tell you how bad that is. Do better Japan. You survived without air conditioners before, you can do it again. Use fans. Or at the very least use less a/c and don't put it so freaking cold. 🤦♂️

It’s curtains down for GSC at 3 Damansara on March 18 This industry has gone through many trials and tribulations. It has not fully recovered from the aftermath of COVID pandemic really. I must say this industry is rather innovative and that’s the core reason why it thrives until today. An industry that was almost wiped out when video film was introduced. Today, it introduces ultimate movie experiences by stimulating our senses with state-of-the-art technology and systems-light, sound and motion. Don’t forget the experience goes well with popcorns too to many. The category is one of key anchors to a mall. One that can draw significantly high traffic to the mall. One that is an important player to add to the growing demand for leisure and entertainment in a mall. I am confident, with innovation, this industry will continue to thrive.

Halo Malaysia! 🌍 Taking a mini break from my regular postings as I just flew to Malaysia a few days ago. It took almost 24 hours with a couple of slight flight delays here and there. One thing that struck me the most about this trip was, how much I have been blessed with little acts of kindness, pure love and serendipities despite the hiccups. ✅ From lovingly being dropped off at the airport hassle free, ✅To having a smooth checking in process despite my passport bearing the risk of having my flight (s) affected, ✅ To having the cutest senior couple help me open my cheese packet in the plane (as I struggled 😂), passing me drinks as I nodded away and helping me to rib of trash ✅ To being able to locate my luggage pretty much in the first 10 minutes on the belt ✅ To meeting some of the friendliest and amazing drivers who immediately made me feel like, I'm back!!! And many more. Wow. I have been doing my best to document the magic, the mundane, and the lows everyday more now as it is unfolding. For It's so easy to get stuck in the old loops of mind, get lost, get side tracked, get distracted, or place too much weight on the negative that happens. Because most of us are so conditioned to live in fear. Are you living in love, or fear? Are you moving more towards love, or fear? 🌱 Edenity is definitely a nod to my son, baby Eden, with a playful twist on 'eternity.' But what colors truly capture its spirit? 🌿 For me, it needs a splash of green – a tribute to the Garden of Eden. And maybe a hint of blue, like the limitless sky or the boundless sea. Or should it be turquoise, my favorite shade? On air, land, and sea... the colors swirl in my mind as I ponder the essence of Edenity. Is it synonymous with Eldred? Or are Eldred and Edenity distinct, like separate entities in the eyes of the law? Or, because my focus is on Singapore SMEs, should it have the red and white colors, with the five stars and crescent moon like the Singapore flag? 🇸🇬 Then again, Singapore Airlines doesn’t follow the flag's theme, just the Singapore word and the flag attached. During our visit, we toured the facility to understand the operational processes and engaged in a detailed discussion to grasp the owner's motivations for selling and his concerns about the future of his business. With over 30 years of success but no succession plans, he’s ready to transition into retirement, leaving a profitable and robust business. The experience highlighted a huge gap in the Singaporean SME market. Many owners of traditional, profit-generating SMEs are looking to retire without a clear legacy plan for their businesses. Despite their lifetime dedication to perfecting their craft and mastering their industry, they often lack the financial savvy and the investor connections needed for a successful strategic transition. As a potential investment analyst at Edenity, I had a long back-and-forth discussion with Eldred about how Edenity addresses this market need. As sell-side advisors, Edenity connects these well-run, stable businesses with investors who can provide not only capital but also strategic insights for growth, such as incorporating advanced technology and infusing innovative business models. This approach not only prepares companies for sale or merger but also positions them to thrive in a new phase of development. Thank you, Eldred Wee, for this eye-opening opportunity. I am enthusiastic about the possibility of contributing to the sustainable growth of the Singapore SME landscape in a way that aligns with both the legacy aspirations of business owners and the strategic interests of investors.
