Congratulations Melissa Whatley, Casey Aldrich & Adeline De Angelis on the recent publication of this new article which combines two under-researched #internationaleducation topics: community college and outcomes of virtual exchange! https://lnkd.in/gqkcGC9c. It's nice to know that one does not necessarily need to engage in physical mobility to nurture students' self-efficacy and global mindset. Brava! Linda Stuart, I think you would like this article. Also, Mattia Baiutti & Darla K. Deardorff --I'd be interested in whether your work with secondary school students tracked self-efficacy outcomes, particularly in short-term programs.

We, the Becoming Intentional Community at Osun State University had our second book reading event on Saturday and it was AWEmazing!! From the introductory session, to the book reading session, the Q&A session and of course, the games section....it was all shades of wonderful. At the event, we not only got to connect with each other, we also learnt a whole lot and had fun. I loved it🥰! Three salient lessons from chapters 3,4&5 of the book BECOMING INTENTIONAL which we read: 1. To become better versions of ourselves, we must be intentional about personal development in whatever area we seem to be lacking. 2. The essence of relationships on our path to greatness cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, it's important we're intentional about people we allow into our lives because they influence our journey. 3. We're daily making contributions to society everyday, consciously or unconsciously. Hence, it's of utmost importance that we consciously make long-lasting positive contributions to the society. In the words of Margaret Maed, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change he world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has". N/B: We're a community of passionate students on the journey to becoming. Just as Tunde Onakoya would say, it is possible to do great things from a small place, and that, we're committed to doing. Quick question... What would you love to be known & remembered for?🤔 --------------------------------------------------------------- Learnt a thing or two from this post? Do let me know in the comment section Cheers to learning, growing & becoming🥂 Becoming Intentional #BecomingIntentionalOsunStateUniversity

To my higher ed connections (which is practically everyone in some form or fashion): When was the last time you went to a conference and returned with not one but all of these things? - an actionable plan that reflects genuinely new perspectives and ideas - a renewed sense of purpose and mindfulness - a new network of like-minded, trailblazing peers and mentors Maybe it's time to consider The Institute for Higher Education? It's not a conference - by design. https://lnkd.in/gyXs3YqG

Teachers: I've been on both the grant and fellowship WINNER (and non-winner) side and also the REVIEWER side, so I have a fair amount of "insider insight" into how to get your application chosen. After this last round of grant applications I reviewed, I made a video of tips I would give to fellow teachers who apply for programs. I know it can support your applications! Good luck! #teacherresources #edchat

Had the pleasure of attending and presenting at the Carnegie National Small College Enrollment Conference this week in Charlotte where I connected (and reconnected!) with admissions colleagues from all over the country and shared information about Interstride 's engagement platform for international students with Judy Chen. It felt 🌟 SO GOOD 🌟 to be back out there! I learned that with the enrollment cliff looming, small colleges are facing many unique challenges but also rapidly adapting with innovative solutions. What is the biggest enrollment challenge you expect to face in the upcoming admissions cycle and how will you tackle it? #admissions #internationaladmission #internationaleducation #enrollmentmanagement
