The State of the Space Industrial Base (SSIB) main conference in Albuquerque was an amazing gathering filled with insightful speakers and dynamic discussions both on stage and off. This conference aims to generate recommendations that bolster our nation’s economic prosperity and security in space. Reflecting on progress since last year and the energy and determination in the rooms, it's clear that, though the road is long, we are steadily advancing towards goals. Space Northwest president, Michael Doyle, joined the stage with other members of the Space Industrial Leadership Council. He also moderated a “co-innovation session” on Advanced Space Power and Propulsion with Peter Garretson and AFRL's James Winter. Steve Nixon and Michael C. of the Outernet Council ran a co-innovation session on the Outernet. Both topics will be in focus at when we dive in at our Seattle workshop, Jun 12-13 — part of Space Week in Seattle. We are deeply grateful to our partners at NewSpace Nexus, Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), Air Force Research Laboratory, United States Space Force and all the thoughtful and dedicated individuals from government and industry who make this conference so inspiring and impactful. #2024SSIB #ABQ #space #defense #commercialspace Casey Anglada DeRaad | Erika Woldman Hecht, CEO Market Ascent | Arial DeHerrera | Andrew MacKenzie | Jordan DeRaadScott Sadler | Scott Maethner | Carter Breckenridge | Steve Butow | Sean Mahoney | Steven R.
