Yesterday I travelled to #Paris to present to over 30 representatives from national and international sports governing bodies (#NOCs and #IFs) who gathered in the #OlympicVillage to learn more about trauma-informed responses to #abuse in #sport. Some logistical challenges notwithstanding (and with thanks to Gloria Viseras - OLY and Scott Sloan’s quick thinking!) I got to share my learnings from 20 years of supporting some incredible people who faced egregious human rights abuses. I was particularly pleased to also be able to refer the audience to a resource that Dr Daniela Heerdt, William Rook and I co-created with a group of Affected Persons for the Centre for Sport and Human Rights’ #RoadmapToRemedy project.
