Fox Community Credit Union has asked its members to donate gently used or new kids and adult bikes during their Pedal It Forward drive. They donate those bikes back to nonprofits or organizations who can put them to good use. Special Olympics Wisconsin has been a recipient of some of the donated bikes. We are so grateful to be able to pass out free bikes to some of our athletes and families! Thank you Fox Community Credit Union for thinking of us! We have some very happy families thanks to you! We have a few bikes still available at our Appleton office. If you are interested in a bike please reach out to [email protected] to schedule a pick up time.

Congratulations Team Space2BHeard CIC What can you learn for your business from this amazing bunch? This past weekend I had the pleasure of being the support driver as my wife and her work colleagues took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for a cause very personal to one of the group. Not the ideal weekend to pick as it was very hot and incredibly humid, but they all managed to complete the challenge. So what can we learn? 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 - All of them had to dig deep at various points and find it within to push through those hard moments knowing it would get better. 𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - They weren't entirely focused on finishing but as the photos show, they made sure they took time to enjoy the journey too. 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 - Saving the most important until last. Community care is self care. Community care is any act to support others. Examples can include: Volunteering in the community Helping a neighbor Donating items Today I donated blankets and jackets to one of my favorite local non-profit organizations that helps individuals in need 24/7. It felt good to get items out of our house that the kids grew out of/we no longer need but that can be of help to others in the community. Do you have any plans to volunteer or donate items this weekend? What is your favorite local organization? #perspective #selfcare #gratitude #growthmindset

Emily is so right, it all really does help. The great thing about donating is that you can give what you can afford because it all adds up and makes a difference. The £5 donated from Emily will come to support our Embells CIC Community Support Project’s Christmas appeal it can help to pay for a christmas hamper for someone in need or pay forward the cost of a Christmas lunch. Just think it’s the cost of a large takeaway coffee, it doesn’t seem a lot but if everyone donated the cost of just 1 of their takeaway coffee’s what a huge difference we could make to so many people in need this Christmas. https://lnkd.in/e9SCjsbE

Do help if you can
Hello everyone!! 👋 Today is the final day of our charity for me&dee charity. One month after the London marathon. We have raised £4478 and got 89% of our target. 💪 In one last ditch attempt to reach our goal I wanted to post a picture of Baasit and I when we were kids, hoping that this shameless act of sentimentality would encourage a few final donations. 🙏 However, this is the only old photo I could find of us both. And no, it wasn’t taken from the Derbyshire Constabulary database. As much as I hope this picture has the desired outcome, I feel that it may result in us having to return some of the donations. 😃 Anyways…. From the bottom of our hearts, a massive thank you to everyone who donated, to everyone who shared the donation page and to everyone who sent us a message of encouragement. 🥰 We love you lots. Baasit & Raza ❤️❤️❤️ (the link will be live a for a few more days if you’d care to share or donate) https://lnkd.in/dp3khxBK

National Interest v Personal Interest. What defines who you are? You might not have a PPE sized trust fund or a fancy yacht to sail away on, but please do think of ways you can support local and national campaigns. Just like these two below.
This year YorSpace is proud to support two worthy causes. Shelter support those who are at risk of being displaced from their homes, a crisis that sadly continues to grow year on year. All donations will support their work by allowing their teams to: - answer an emergency call from a family who are facing the fear and uncertainty of being made homeless - help to pay for legal advice to help a family in crisis keep their home - advocate for access to secure and permanent homes for everyone Meanwhile a little closer to home, Big Ian Donaghy and his wonderful team of magic elves are busy gearing up to deliver hampers full of festive gifts and Christmas dinners to the older community, in York, who find themselves living alone on Christmas Day. If you are interested in finding out more then please find two links below. It's never too late to support amazing and much needed community initiatives like Shelter and Xmas Presence. On behalf of the Operational Team and Board at YorSpace, we wish you all a healthy and happy festive period and new year. https://lnkd.in/edGQPwAc https://lnkd.in/eXKhVZeX

🌟 Grant Spotlight: $5.8 million to MiracleFeet to scale up treatment for clubfoot and monitor its program. MiracleFeet is different from most programs we fund because it involves treating a physical disability rather than implementing a preventive health program. We currently estimate that this program is close to our cost-effectiveness threshold, and we hope that we’ll learn more and update our views as a result of this work with MiracleFeet. Help us fund more grants like this by donating today. https://lnkd.in/da7teGFX

Core values are a part of our organization. One of those values is giving back to the communities where we do business. The first annual APEC Indy golf outing raised over $15,455 with the generous support of all of the donors and sponsors for the event. Thank you to all that helped make the outing a successful day and contributed to this donation we recently provided Second Helpings of Indianapolis. #apecindy #secondhelpings #give
