Last week was something special. 💝 My team, spread out across India, came together at our Hyderabad office. It’s one thing to collaborate online, but seeing everyone in person was a reminder of just how much we can achieve when we’re together. We jumped right into a 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻, full of fresh ideas and teamwork. The 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗥 session showed us new ways AI can help in our daily work. The 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 training gave us valuable insights into each other's strengths, and the 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 session brought us closer as a team. We ended the week on a high note, dancing, laughing, and even playing golf. It wasn’t just fun - it was a celebration of what we’ve built together. When I was in Pune, I used to cross a 3-way intersection to reach the office. Although it was busy, the vehicles still managed to move smoothly and synchronously like in the video. It looked crazy yet brilliant. Note that the traffic was always moving and I never had to stop. But after a few months, I noticed many vehicles had stopped at the intersection. Later, when the vehicles started moving, I realized that (guess what?) a new traffic signal had been installed. From then on, I observed vehicles moving without stopping only whenever there was a problem with the traffic signal. And that's the moment I realized not all seemingly important processes add value (No! Just trying to be dramatic😁. I realized it many years later). The people were skilled at maneuvering through traffic without any issues for a long time. Now, a traffic light meant to solve problems has become the cause of traffic. The takeaway here is that you shouldn't try to fix something that isn't broken (unless the risk is manageable of course). Sometimes, what appears to be a regular process can make things worse or slow down things. --------- From a product management perspective, this takeaway should be specifically applied to new processes in startups. You know you need good processes to build high-quality features and release them on time. But you should take advantage of the team's skills in doing specific activities. This would help you prioritize the new processes based on their real need and value. #productmanagement #processimprovement

Let's take it offline. And offline soon becomes off-mind. That's typically the trend I've observed for addressing in-depth technical inquiries during meetups hosting a wide spectrum of audiences. The Panzura Open House event hosted by TeemGenie was therefore a welcome change from the usual tech meet ups that I have witnessed recently. It was a healthy deep dive into products,  architecture, future roadmaps & all things #deeptech. It was truly heartening to hear some audience members say that such events are very rare and should happen more frequently. And finally, despite multiple digital advancements, nothing beats catching up in person over a chilled beer 🍻 .
