This month, we recognize the importance of research, education, and advocacy in understanding endometriosis, a chronic and often painful condition that can significantly impact a person’s quality of life. Endometriosis is more than just a medical condition; it’s a catalyst for discussions about women’s health and the need for more empathetic and informed healthcare. It's Black Maternal Health Week! Black women have better birthing outcomes when there are policies in place that ensure Black women are treated with respect and compassion. As a result of ineffective and inequitable policies and practices, Black women have a significantly higher rate of death due to complications from childbirth than other women.
