Community Engagement Professional & Event Specialist w/passion for innovative projects and making a difference in my world

Recently, I made a major life-changing decision. I am 100% committed to it, and for the first time in my life, am investing my all into intentionally creating the very life I want to be living from here forward. I've contracted with a life coach. I'm finding ways - and making time - to THINK, to really relax, ponder, dream, and envision all things happy. Making time for this and staying focused on it is really challenging for me, but I am forcing myself to do it. I've changed my eating and drinking habits substantially. I've stopped saying yes to things I don't want to do and don't have to do. And yes to things I should do but might might normally have said no to (e.g., a spontaneous getaway without my laptop or phone attached to my hip.🙂) I'm setting new boundaries personally and professionally. I'm doing more of what makes my heart happy. I'm organizing and decluttering, and in that process, came across this necklace I used to wear almost daily in my 40's when I moved from York, PA to Annapolis, MD and was extremely happy. The wonderful memories this necklace brings back for me made me want to polish it up, add two new charms that have significance to me today in my 50's, and start wearing it again. It serves as my reminder that a happy and fulfilled life is on the horizon and my motivation to keep putting in the effort to make that happen! I also dug out one of the notebooks I keep on hand and often give as a gift. It's the notebook I'm now using as a journal for this next adventure of mine on the road of life. #letthefunbegin

Proud of you and thank you for sharing. This is an amazing message to a lot of us, that we to all should do the same. My teenager reminded me that "it's not just us entitled kids who need to reflect on what is important in life, you should do the same Mom!" That was a smack on the forehead for me! Good luck my friend. Looking forward to seeing you again with that necklace.
