In 2016, a friend and I created a short film: "Jeff Harding": https://lnkd.in/g9HhDy_8 that became a finalist at Tropfest, the world's largest film festival. Our work was watched by thousands, judged by experts, and ultimately won an award. This recognition told us that people enjoyed our film. The numbers were encouraging—views, likes, and positive feedback showed that our film resonated with the audience. However, we were left with a burning question: What exactly did people like about the film? Was it the #story, our filmmaking prowess, or something more profound? Imagine if we could delve deeper, beyond conscious self-reporting, to uncover the unconscious neurological responses of our viewers. What if we could see how their brains reacted to different elements of our film? This insight could be a game-changer. By understanding the unconscious thoughts and feelings of our audience, we could refine our #storytelling, enhance our filmmaking techniques, and transform our short film into an unforgettable experience. Today I handed in the manuscript to publishers Routledge of my new book on MEDIA MANAGEMENT AND LIVE EXPERIENCE. It's all about the fact that for all the AI-driven synthetic content in the world, actually people crave analogue connection yet more. Incredible, real experiences are taking over the zeitgeist - like #BurningMan, #Glastonbury the #WorldCup Final, the #IndianPremierLeague, China's booming music festival scene, the #UEFAChampionsLeague, the #SuperBowl, #Coachella, #TaylorSwift, Theme Parks, the Saudi investments in football and golf, sports betting, #InterMiami....and the #MSGSphere. I agree. One of the most illuminating (and enchanting) interviews with a #creativeproducer I've ever seen. I can't think of another producer who, on a public stage of this kind, is so up front about #financing, failure and production challenges and ultimately, of course, phenomenal success, but then there's only one Svana Gisla, only one #Abba and only one #AbbaVoyage (although others are trying to repeat the trick, which may be impossible.
