As a US education provider, are you prepared to address needs and gaps in Europe? NCVET invites Public Comments on the draft Guidelines for Recognition & Regulation of Assessment Agencies (AAs). Comments/ inputs/ suggestions may be shared at [email protected] by 23/05/2024. The skilling ecosystem in the country is highly dynamic owing to the technological advancements and positive disruptions brought out as a result of major policy initiatives such as launch of National Education Policy (NEP) in 2020, National Credit Framework (NcrF) and the revised National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) in 2023. In line with the implementation of such major policy changes in the Vocational Education, Training, and Skilling (VETS) ecosystem and the feedback received from various stakeholders during consultative meetings, a need was felt to comprehensively revise the AA Guidelines 2020 with an overarching objective of ensuring high-quality assessments for the credibility and effectiveness of vocational education and training programs. The revised comprehensive “Guidelines for Recognition and Regulation of AAs” shall act as a reference point that draws up the contours of the norms of recognition and also delineates the detailed implementation process, monitoring mechanism, and the repository of documentary evidence that would be required for initial recognition and continued affiliation of the assessment agencies. Shoutout 📢 NCVET invites public comments on the draft "Guidelines for Recognition & Regulation of Assessment Agencies (AAs)" These guidelines laydown standards for the recognition of assessment agencies and provide a monitoring and evaluation framework for their regulation. As an overarching regulator the vision of these guidelines is to create a pool of best in class assessment agencies for assessment delivery through standardized norms and continuous quality governance. This will enable these organizations to find the right fit into the system while including the principles of validity, fairness, reliability, and flexibility.

Announcing WHIMA Education 2023 Survey Results - In April 2023, WHIMA conducted a survey to understand better the current environment related to the sources of continuing education for HI professionals and what areas of continuing education are desired or needed. The survey was sent to all WHIMA members and to all AHIMA credentialed nonmembers in Wisconsin. The respondents were asked to identify the sources where they obtained their continuing education, what educational topics were desired, and the type of AHIMA credential that the respondent holds, if any.
