Perhaps we are not hypersensitive: Perhaps it's that others aren't sensitive enough.

I do take issue with the word "hypersensitive". It's coded language especially with the intersectionality part and it creates shame around feeling deeply. #adhdawareness

Understanding sensory processing differences are important for neurodivergent individuals. Sensory differences can increase the sensitivity of internal and external stimuli. This can then change the way we interact with our social and physical surroundings, and impact the persons psychological well-being. Understanding your own unique sensory needs and how to positively support them through the life-span is useful as they can be undiagnosed and untreated. #ADHD #ADHDawareness #Neurodivergence #Neurodiversity

I have observed many with neurodivergence having high sensitivity qualities. This sensitivity is quite the quality in understanding humankind. Many and most are intuitive individuals and are in line with empaths!! Once this perspective is acknowledged the individuals love to learn more about these skills and how to develop & nuture them. This is the greatest side of it all in my life!! It is amazing and extraordinary what we feel and see as we discover this side of it!!
