Your neighbor since 1932, Stauffers of Kissel Hill is a truly locally owned business. As part of our Stauffers mission to enrich our community and positively impact those in which we serve, we had the pleasure of sponsoring Cranksgiving, an annual bike ride through the scenic farmlands of Lancaster County, on Saturday November 4th. Hosted by Lititz Bikeworks, 200 riders embarked on a 31 mile route with stops to 3 grocery stores, including Stauffers of Kissel Hill Fresh Foods store in Lititz. Riders generously purchased and donated non-perishable groceries to benefit Ephrata Area Social Svc. This year, Cranksgiving generated 15,000 pounds of food and collected $3,250 in cash donations. We appreciate all who participated in making this event a success! 🚴♀️🚴🚴♂️ #enrichingourcommunities

💗 IT'S GIVING TUESDAY 💗 Decluttering your home can be an amazing way to give back to your local community. When you declutter, you discover what items you're keeping that no longer serve you. If these items are still in good, usable, & clean condition, they can be donated & used by people who need them. If you are looking for ways to declutter & organize throughout the year in a way that promotes giving to those in need, here are a few suggestions: 🧺 Maintain an ongoing donation bag or basket. 🧥 When decluttering your closet, ask yourself "would I wear this OR buy this today?" Can someone else use it? 🥫 When decluttering your pantry, consider donating any non-expired & non-perishable food to those in need if you won't eat it yourself. 🚗 When cleaning out your garage, consider donating tools/equipment no longer being used. Which organizations/charities are your go-to's for donations? Give them a shout and tag them in the comments below! #GivingTuesday #donate #professionalorganizer #metrodetroit #womenownedbusiness #organization #decluttering

Ready to move but still have a few things to donate? Donating is a wonderful way to purge what you don’t need and give back to your community 🏡 There are local organizations that will pick up for free including Wellspring Living and Lost N Found Youth. Do you have linens such as towels you were going to throw away? Check with the local pet boarding facilities or Humane Society. They gladly take such donations. How about tools or leftover supplies from a renovation? Habitat ReStores are home improvement stores that accept small and large donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances, housewares, building materials and more. Proceeds from the sales of these items help Habitat’s work in your community and around the world. So CALL US to help you coordinate your donatiosn, during a move or just during a good spring clean. Wellspring Living Treasures stores accept large and small donations of furniture, appliances, housewares, and clothes. They even have a delivery service that will pick up large items. Proceeds from the sale of these items fund their programs that help youth and women who have been sexually exploited rebuild their lives. Call us to discuss your donation strategy. #AsbellGoldeTeam #AtlantaFineHomes #SothebysRealty #AtlantaRealEstate #MovingTip #Donation #AtlantaDonations

Decluttering your home should not be a one-person job. It's time we get the kids involved in downsizing some extra stuffies and making it fun to keep a clean and organized space. We have tons of tips on making tidying up easy for kids. Part of our mission is to know no waste and donate unwanted or unneeded items to local non-profits, ensuring all items go to a deserving home. Did you know that most canine police units accept donations for their brave dogs who have experienced a traumatic event? Pro tip: make a monthly or annual trip to your local police station and let the kids see that their stuffed animals are going to dogs who are scared and need a new buddy. This week on the blog, we talk about how you can get your kids involved with staying organized and encouraging them to let go of unneeded toys in a fun and exciting donation process. https://lnkd.in/eVhCnHYW

Results-driven B2B marketing pro with over 25 years of experience in strategy, promotions, & change management. Passionate about print and promotional products. Creative-minded with resourceful execution.
I try not to post our dog rescue's fundraisers all that often, but tomorrow is usually our biggest fundraising day of the year. North Texas Giving Day is a day of giving for area non-profit organizations, and for some, it's the only major fundraiser they do. 🐶❤ If you'd like to support our mission at I Am Dog Rescue, Inc., please find us at https://lnkd.in/euvsX-Ef. ❤🐶 For us, North Texas Giving Day has been a critical fundraising day for several years - often sending us into the end of the year well-positioned to continue helping dogs in need. This year has been especially challenging. Facebook, a major fundraising platform for us has drastically reduced visibility for fundraisers outside of their platform unless we pay to advertise. We have more "competition" for donations this year with new area non-profits marketing in the same areas where we have traditionally had strong support. We have been blessed to keep our original adoption fee of $175, one of the most affordable in the area, but we need your support in order to continue helping dogs in need. I hope you'll consider making a donation - every dollar counts, and no amount is too small - to help us continue to help dogs like Stevie. Stevie was a hot medical mess coming out of the shelter, but he is slowly being treated for a variety of issues and will be good as new in about 60-90 days. 💙 Dogs like Stevie are #whywerescue #fundraiser #fundraising #northtexasgivingday #dogrescue #nonprofit #nonprofitfundraising #doglovers #giveback #501c3

A tough question for a day of reflection: If orgs are going to keep hosting meetings and events in Florida or other states governed by bigotry and hate, would it it help you attend if they made non-trivial donations to anti-bigotry charities? What would that amount be for a 1k attendance event? 5k? 10k+? I’m not asking for a discussion on bigotry, but what events should be doing now.

Since taking on my role last July, I have been working on the expansion of Tiso Group’s second-hand scheme, Worn But Not Worn Out. Why does this matter? 🔄 Circular business models, such as second-hand, are crucial in today's world. According to WRAP, 956,000 tonnes of clothing is discarded annually in the UK. Resale is one solution to extend product life, maximise use and reduce waste. 🚀 The potential for #circularity is immense. With a growing demand for repair, rental and resale, the market is ripe for innovation. The Ellen MacArthur Foundation estimates that these business models could capture 23% of the global fashion market by 2030. 🤝 These solutions can be an opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment as well as our local communities. Tiso is proud to have donated the proceeds from the scheme to Tayside Mountain Rescue to support their life-saving work. #circulareconomy #outdoorindustry
You’ve helped raise £5,400 for Tayside Mountain Rescue! The proceeds from our used gear scheme, Worn But Not Worn Out, have been donated to support the life-saving work of Tayside Mountain Rescue. Want to get involved? Donate your pre-loved gear to our Dundee and Perth stores! Check out our FAQs here: https://www.tiso.com/worn for all the details. Special thanks go to our customers, staff members, and brands Berghaus Ltd and Passenger for their support in donating kit.
