Here's a heartwarming story for you: After Kyongsook Kim lost her executive job at Google, she embraced the challenge of the unknown by diving into various entry-level roles. Her goal was to learn something from scratch, and along the way, she discovered that the true reward was more than just new skills. Lois invested in meaningful connections that not only enriched her journey but also proved invaluable as she advanced in her career. As I reflect on my current pause and consider my next step, what will matter most to me is how I will connect with other people and empowering those connections to drive success for an organization. In the spirit of Lois Kim, let's focus on the HOW and not just the WHAT

I got laid off from Google in my 50s and juggled 3 jobs at Trader Joe's, Lyft, and Starbucks. It was a humbling experience.

Inspiring, Steve. Thank you. It takes courage to take a “step back” in one’s pursuit to find a path forward. In the end, life is seldom a straight line! Straight lines are a bit boring, aren’t they? You’re one of the most talented, smart and hardworking (and kind) people I’ve had to pleasure of working with, Steve, so I have no doubt you’ll get to where you’re meant to be. Whoever they are, they’ll see you and truly value you. I’m here if there’s anything I can do to support! 🫶🏼

It's all about the How. That's where the culture lives.
