💻 Day 19 of #100DaysofCode It's another hackathon day! Today Albert Szupszynski, Ravi Kataria and I addressed the general public's desperate need for weather data from Giggleswick, UK, as well as a curated selection of other popular locations. I'm so proud of how we came together as a team, dreamed big, and worked effectively to achieve each goal we set and produce a working app with a styled UI. We implemented our newfound knowledge of the fetch() function with async/await to integrate weather data from Open-Meteo's free weather API into our webpage. We created functions to locate relevant data and display it in the DOM, added buttons with event listeners to fetch and display data for multiple locations, and programmed the image to change depending on the weather type - our first three locations are all based in grey, grey England, so you may want to click the button for Hell to see our picture change! Excited to share that I recently participated in the HackToCrack hackathon and had an incredible experience exploring new technologies and collaborating with fellow developers! During the hackathon, I had the opportunity to dive deep into cutting-edge technologies such as Prisma, UploadThing, Clerk Next.js, and Aiven. Each of these tools brought unique functionalities to the table, empowering us to develop innovative solutions and push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of tech. Prisma simplified database management, allowing us to efficiently interact with and manipulate data. UploadThing provided seamless file uploading capabilities, enhancing the user experience of our project. Clerk Next.js facilitated user authentication and authorization, ensuring the security of our application. Aiven enabled us to deploy and manage various cloud services, streamlining our development process. I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with my team and leverage these technologies to tackle real-world challenges. participating in HackToCrack was not only a learning experience but also a testament to the power of teamwork, creativity, and innovation in the tech community. Day 49 : Hackathon Preparations in Full Swing! 💡🚀 📆 On December 29, I devoted the entire day to the upcoming hackathon, diving deep into backend development, UI fixes, and implementing diverse logics for various routes. Day 5 of Metaschool Build Week: Governance in Action, Shaping Your DAO with AirDrop Modules and voting. So far, I've created a QRC20 token and DAO using Q DAO Factory. I proceed to add multiple functionalities to the DAO to make it better. ✅ Create AirDropV1 Module: To understand the basic functionality of an AirDrop module and the concept of Merkle trees. ✅ Deploy AirDropV1 Module: Here, a Merkle tree was created by providing wallet addresses, whiteliste addresses. The main task was to deploy the AirDropV1 module and create the Merkle tree that will be used in claiming. ✅ Claim the AirDrop Module: I learnt to claim the AirDrop module by writing code for the Merkle Proof to check whether the address that is calling the claim file is part of the Merkle tree or not.

Days 47-48: Advancing into the new Hackathon! 💻🚀 📆 Over the past two days, on December 28, I've been deeply engaged into new hackathon, making strides on my ongoing mini project. I'll be giving the invited talk "Unifying nonlinearly constrained nonconvex optimization" at JuMP-dev 2024 in July. Thank you for your invitation and see you on July 20th! Abstract: Derivative-based iterative methods for nonlinearly constrained nonconvex optimization usually share common algorithmic components, such as strategies for computing a descent direction and mechanisms that promote global convergence. Based on this observation, we introduce an abstract framework with four common ingredients that describes most derivative-based iterative methods and unifies their workflows. We then present Uno, a modular C++ solver that implements our abstract framework and allows the automatic generation of various strategy combinations with no programming effort from the user. Uno is meant to (1) organize mathematical optimization strategies into a coherent hierarchy; (2) offer a wide range of efficient and robust methods that can be compared for a given instance; (3) reduce the cost of development and maintenance of multiple optimization solvers; and (4) enable researchers to experiment with novel optimization strategies while leveraging established subproblem solvers and interfaces to modeling languages. We demonstrate that Uno is highly competitive against state-of-the-art solvers such as filterSQP, IPOPT, SNOPT, MINOS, LANCELOT, LOQO and CONOPT on a set of 429 problems from the CUTEst collection.
